Landesgartenschau Hemer 2010 – Planting celebration with VIPs

The Landesgartenschau Hemer 2010 had invited to a planting celebration on Thursday, the 16.10.2008. One prominent figure among others was the Minister of the Environment, Nature Conservation, Agriculture and Consumer Protection of North Rhine-Westphalia, Mr. Eckhard Uhlenberg, who turned the first spadeful of earth for the planting job.

He was assisted not only by a lot of energetic girls and boys of the local preschools, but also by the mayor of Hemer, Mr. Michael Esken and the chief executive of the Landesgartenschau Hemer, Mr. Peter Friedrich.

Especially for this event, eleven limes (Tilia europaea Pallida) with a circumference of 30-35cmwere delivered by Lappen nurseries of Nettetal-Kaldenkirchen the week before. More plants of the Lappen fields will start their journey to the Landesgartenschau Hemer shortly.

The Landesgartenschau Rietberg has closed their doors conclusively and now it´s Hemers´ turn.
